Why begin an EMS major at PSUDE?
Over half the EMS majors that graduate from University Park begin their EMS
studies at one of the other PSU campuses - including Delaware County! Our
class sizes at the introductory level for math, physics, chemistry, and EMS
courses are kept small (typically, no more than 24 students). Your professors get to know you and help you adjust to
learning in college-level courses, and you are offered the invaluable
opportunity of research experience BEFORE transferring to University Park.

Earth Science for the nonscience major
Whether you will be pursuing a science degree or not, all students at all Penn
State campuses are required to complete a General Education program. The
General Education program is designed to provide Penn State graduates with
necessary knowledge and skills that will allow you to succeed in your future.
So not matter what your major, you will be taking 9 credit hours of courses that
focus on developing your quantification skills and your knowledge in the natural
sciences. So why not consider taking an EMS course... or two... or
three??? Whether you are an EMS major or not, you have the opportunity to
work with a faculty member on your own independent research during your freshman
and/or sophomore year.
