With the continued interest in avian flu and pandemics, the PBS website on the 1918 influenza outbreak that killed over 600,000 Americans is a great starting point for research. It includes the tv program transcript, a timeline of events, an excellent bibliography of additional sources, and a map showing the spread of the flu.
