Kudos to Pennsylvania for publishing statistics on hospital infections which occurred in PA hospitals during 2005. The figures are alarming and have merited nationwide attention. However, we can't solve a problem we haven't identified, and this study goes a long way toward identifying the dimensions of the problem and generating discussion about its solution.
